Paddle Venture 2019

Scouts SA Members, please register via MyScout Events once opened.

Overnight paddling trip on the River Murray.

Scheduling is to meet at Friday night ~19:00 (pre-trip briefing & discussions from 20:00), Saturday morning depart and return Sunday afternoon, 15:00. 

This is a bush camping and self-catering trip.

We will use a mix of canoes (aka "Canadians") and kayaks, if your Group has it's own (they must have a current Scouts SA Registration), then please organise with them or let Paul know if you'll be needing a double canoe or a single touring kayak.

Refer the Y4 form (once available) and Greg Walker's Kayaking Checklist (available via the link below), for what to bring both personally and as a team, e.g. shared equipment/supplies with your paddling partner inc. food, water, tent, stove etc.

Venturers can use this activity for their Award Scheme, with enough hours for VA Outdoors or could be part of a QSA Outdoors plan, both would require Unit Council pre-approval and prior contact with Paddle Venture organisers.
