The Unit Management Course is part of leadership development.
Unit Council approval required.
An 8 hour course followed by 4 hours of application.

The Unit Management Course is for ALL Venturers, whether you are currently a member of your Unit Council or you may be in the future. The course gives you skills in programming, handling money, organising and running effective Unit meetings, writing a Unit Constitution, Unit elections and much more.

If your Unit needs a bit of a kick-start or some more ideas to really thrive, the Unit Management Course can help you out. If your Unit is running an excellent programme, come along and share the secret of your success.

This course is part of the Queen’s Scout Award scheme and is also a Nationally Accredited Course (so it is a good addition to your job resumè).

Aims:

  1. To assist Unit Councillors to run more effective Unit Councils.
  2. To enable Venturers to take a more effective role in supporting the running of their Venturer Unit.
