The Lifestyles Weekend is relevant for Personal Growth - Lifestyle 1

Requirements:
Unit Council approval required.
A minimum time of 10 hours is expected.

An introduction to physical activities. Show an increase in physical proficiency and general fitness over a period of time. Do number 1 and ONE of numbers 2, 3 or 4.

Must do:

  1. Collect information on the effects of tobacco, alcohol, and other addictive drugs. Or, another aspect of maintaining and promoting health.

Select one of the following:

  1. Participate for at least three months in a sport and show an improvement in proficiency.
  2. Participate in a physical development program for at least three months and show an improvement in performance.
  3. Other fitness activities determined to be of equivalent standard.

The Lifestyles weekend will allow you to achieve topic 1, and will give you ideas and a starting point for the second part of the award. It will give you an opportunity to experience and begin suitable fitness activities to enable you to achieve your Lifestyles 1 award.
