Introduction:

The content of these resources was collated and put together in a logical order by Chris Wise  who produced a CD which can be obtained for free by contacting the Branch Commissioner (Venturers).

These resources have been produced by Venturer Leaders for Youth Members and Leaders.
All Programs have been tried and found to be FUN.
They are also a source of information covering the Queen’s Scout Award, South Australian Branch Policies and suggested programs.
Some resources may appear under more than one category. “Scuba diving” for example is listed under ‘Adventurous Activities - Outdoor’ as well as under ‘Personal Growth - Pursuits’.

Navigation:

There should be a drop down navigation bar at the top of this page. If the navigation bar is not visible you may have JavaScript turned off, or your browser may not provide support for JavaScript.

Although this site is designed primarily for “modern browsers”, you will still be able to see all of the content with older browsers (and text only browsers such as Lynx).
Even if your browser does not provide support for JavaScript or Style Sheets (or you have the support turned off), you will still be able to navigate the site and view the content on each page by using the text links provided at the bottom of each page. You can also use the “Tab” key on your keyboard to navigate through the page links if you do not have a mouse.

Printing:

It is recommended that you check the printing preferences of your browser.
A suggestion is that all margins should be 10 mm with no headers or footers. If you are going to punch holes in the paper to place it in a folder, then perhaps the left margin should be 30 mm. Try printing one page and vary your margins set up to suit. You can always see how the page will look when printed by using your browsers “Print Preview”. By keeping the margins size as small as possible, each topic should fit on only one page.
The line lengths are not rigid, the text is designed to flow across and down the page no matter what margins you use.
Pages within this site will print the page content correctly in any browser that understands how to switch Style Sheets. They will also print from any browser that doesn’t (such as Netscape Navigator 4), but you will get the navigation links printed as well as the page content. You can use your browser’s “Print Preview” if you want to see how the page will print.
