Technical Requirements
To be awarded the Queen’s Scout Award the Venturer Scout must:
- Be a Venturer Scout.
- Have gained the Venturing Skills Award.
- Complete the requirements in the four Award Areas:
- Community Involvement
- Adventurous Activities
- Personal Growth
- Leadership Development
There is more to the Queen’s Scout Award than just passing tests.
The Award is recognised by the community at large to be a worthwhile achievement and a representative of the Queen presents the certificate to the Venturer Scout. The Venturer Scout is recognised as being of good character and a worthy member of the Scout Movement.
The additional requirements are:
- Be recommended by the Unit Council and the Venturer Scout Leader.
- Be recommended by the Group Leader and the Group Council.
- Passport and all relevant information have been approved by the Award Standards Committee.
- Have a personal interview with the District Commissioner.
