Time needed
Introduction - one night.
For award level - 2 months minimum.

Varies, depending on what you do. You may need to purchase the correct equipment, etc.
Numbers
For demonstrations a small group is better, preferably an even number.
Description
Have an instructor come and demonstrate a few ways to defend oneself if attacked. Anyone interested may wish to attend self defence courses through the WEA or a recognised organisation.

Demonstration - hall. Classes - as required.
Transport

Resources
Loose clothes are required for easier movement. If you join a class or club you may need a uniform or other equipment.

A reasonable level of fitness is helpful.
Problems
People going overboard. Ninja Turtle Syndrome! People playing around too much. Danger of injuries.
Precautions
Bruises! You may get a bit sore, and possibly a few bruises.

This is not for budding “Van Dammes” or “Rambos”. It is for anyone who feels that they may want to protect themselves. One Unit’s instructor was a five foot tall blond woman who dropped a strapping six foot Venturer!
