Description
Use the telephone directory and look under Community Help. Get the Venturers to go through the services and find out what services are available and where they are. A guest speaker could be invited to talk about what happens if you need housing or you have a drug problem, who you can contact and what help is available, physically, mentally and financially.

Problems
The subject(s) need to be treated seriously by the Venturers. Emphasise the importance of these organisations, that they play an important part in the community and that they do not need crank calls.
Precautions
Be aware some Venturers may already have problems.
Comments
Role playing can be used eg. “What if” game. Make sure you debrief to bring the Venturers back to earth. Be careful of areas such as rape and child abuse as these could be sensitive subjects and could need prior discussion with parents.
