A great activity for Venturers. This can also be used as a “Try Venturing” activity for
older and linking Scouts. It’s a GPS based Treasure Hunt around Metro Adelaide.
We’re going to have some great prizes on board.
No experience necessary. It’d be a bonus if
someone in your team (3 – 5 in a team) knew how to use a GPS – but we can show you if nobody knows how. It’d be
good if you can beg or borrow a GPS to bring along, but there are a limited number available for loan.
We can’t really tell you too much about what you will actually be doing, but it will be a load of fun. If you’ve
heard of geocaching, you’re part way there already. If you haven’t - you will have heard of it by the time you
finish.
Geocaching may be suitable for Outdoors 1 or
Pursuits 1 – if you get it approved by your Unit Council we can
