Hi to All,
Super Splash 2007, this year saw us change venue due to the lack of water at Milang to a new location Morgan Riverside Caravan Park. Our Thanks go to the Mid Murray Council Jon Fry and his team for all the help in making it a great weekend they could not do enough for us. Also the Town of Morgan the invite to be part of their Christmas Parade we put in two floats a patrol boat and a land yacht, our police scouters put in the Blue Light Disco Wagon again great PR for scouting.
My Team and I would like to thank the following for all their help to make the weekend the great success it was.
- Mountain Bike Riding - Paul and Graham
- Canoeing – John Rockliff and his willing team of helper’s Paul, Rick, Mei, Jim and Leanne to name a few.
- The Climbing Wall – Michael Woodward and his team Graham, Adam, Michael with help from Brett and Warren this year with the new location worked being more visible from the main marquee.
- Land Yachting – Peter Smith and team Bruce, David and others who helped over the weekend. Then Land Yachting started at the old oval next to the caravan park which the Council slashed and then put a roller over it for us but just not enough wind so was moved to the towns main oval again thanks to Jon for his help more wind.
- Silk screening – Ian Golding was done in the main marquee on both days lots of T shirts and tops with this years River Rats logo thanks Ian.
- Air Brush Tattoo’s non-permanent we hoped Thanks go to our Rovers for the great artwork lots of tattoos again this was done in the main marquee.
- Sailing and also Safety Boat – John Hooper and his team Andrew, Howard and thanks to the team for the patrol boat in the parade.
- Tube Riding – Mick, Brendan, Trevor, Jessica and Bridget and all the leaders who helped with all the above activities.
- Sites and Services – Glen, Andrew, Mick and their willing team if you did not know we had a non powered area so big generator and all lights movies disco etc. was thanks to the guys.
- Radio’s Communications – Mike and team thanks for keeping us all in touch for the weekend.
- Promotions – Dylan, Cameron the EV theme team the Radio Station all Rovers who came and gave their time to help on the weekend thanks
- St Johns again great to have on site we had a full caravan and an ambulance with a crew of two for the weekend thanks for you work.
- Police Scout’s – Paul Dickson and his team thankyou for keeping all safe the Blue Light Patrol Car was great help.
- CATERING – Cornelius and his team of willing helpers what can I say this would have to be the hardest working group of any event the food and qty was again over the top. I and every Venturer and Leader thanks you.
- My Team – My special thanks to Bridget for the many hours spent to make this event happen. Paul and Sara for all you work on the pre activities sorry you were not able to make the weekend but you made the weekend run smoothly. Thanks again to all for making this a Great Weekend and hope to see you next year.
