Hi to All,
SuperSplash 2006 what can I say HOT, HOT, HOT water was the place to be and seating, standing, laying or just paying around it was nice to be so close and then any breeze helped to keep us cooler was great.
Activities were all up to speed even with the heat.
- Karen and her team sweltered in the Admin tent doing the tattoos yes I was the first they needed a test case to all the mums and dads yes they do come off with time and soap.
- Mike Dickson and group ran the games tent just a spot to take it a bit slower and chat.
- Michael and Graham and team with the climbing wall what a great time had by all. Thanks to the team for the comp on Saturday night and I am sure the prizes went over well.
- Sam ran Geocaching out of the hut just behind and those who gave it a go did well to find the catches.
- Sarah and Dave and helpers ran the bike runs and groups made the challenge to finish the rides.
- Paul, Mark and Craig ran canoeing with help from other leaders. They did the run out to both jetty and the reedy Island all went well.
- Water Tubing from the jetty by both powerboats as on every year had a big crowd and all who came had a go.
- Sailing many thanks to the team John, Rob and all others who helped. We had two yachts on Saturday and three out Sunday morning.
- Land Yachting thanks go to Peter, Bruce and Janette and team we bused out to the site approx every hour and had three yachts to work with and worked well as you did not need to spend a lot of time in with the wind.
- Easter Venture theme team ran the Fish Bone Café and chill out marquee
Thanks to the hard work put in by Daniel and all the rovers. - Thanks to the team from sites and services and the setting up of our entertainment and power Glen, Andrew, Mike and Julian.
- The Catering Team lead by Cornelius and Valerie what can I say what a Great job done in the heat and to the many helpers over the weekend Sharon, Deb, Mike, Bob, John, Andrew just to name a few.
- The meet and greet team thanks the clown suits were a great hit thanks also to the Scout Shop for the gift bags given out to the venturers as they came in. If you missed out please let your DVL know and he will get more to you.
- Police scouters lead by Dirk many thanks to you team.
- St Johns for keeping you all covered.
- Our Radio Activities group thanks.
- Many thanks to my Team Bridget, Kylie, Andre and Paul for the many hours spent in helping to make the weekend fun and safe for you all.
