Scouting Statewide July 2003
SUPER SPLASH: December 5,6,7th 2003. (Starts at 6:30pm Friday)
It will be another fantastic event this year with the theme being done around Hawaiian shirts, loud shorts and anything to do with surf and sun. The event will be at Milang again this year and we will have Faye Burgess and her wonderful team doing the catering. Yay!! We will have all the water sports, land yachting, the magnificent climbing wall, volleyball and a SuperSplash Sanctuary where you will be able to sit, have a chat and coffee, play cards or whatever it is you do to relax. We will have Frisbees and hackey sacks to play with and we will also have screen-printing as an activity.
I know a lot of you Leaders are already involved with AJ2004 - but we have to remember that SuperSplash is the end of year event for the Venturers and we should pull out all stops to make it a great time for them. If you work it right - all you need to do is be the transport down to Milang and the rest of the weekend will be a supervisory role at most. All the activities are there already and you just have to watch them have a great time. And remember - you will get fed well!!! Please promote it to your Venturers and help make it the best one ever.
AJ2004: You should all be aware by now that we are looking for Venturers to help out with Activities at the Jamboree. Any Venturer who is over 15 ½ is eligible to attend. We just need to have an application form completed and sent to me at HQ with $150 deposit. As a Venturer at the Jamboree you will be helping out with any of the off-site activities or with the on-site activities. You will be there as a Leader Helper and you will be meeting some 200 + other Venturers from Australia wide. If you want any more information - please contact me and I will point you in the right direction.
