Escape2Venture is fast approaching – and is an event that you don’t want to miss as a Venturer – just ask anyone who has attended a Venture before!
It’s sort of like a Jamboree, but minus the cooking for yourself, and add exciting expeditions and experiencing new things – who wouldn’t enjoy that.
The South Australian Contingent is already 50 strong – have you got your name registered yet??? Time is running out to register if you are coming.
SA Contingent has imposed a deadline of 1 June 2008 for anyone who wishes to attend the Venture. Applications after this date will not be accepted.
If you have any further queries about the Venture please don’t hesitate to email sa.contingent@escape2venture.com or you can contact the Contingent Leader, Faye Burgess on 08 8384 3452

It is all going to change folks. There is a national review underway of the Venturer Section. How will it effect you?
Read all about it. Updated: 27 November 2007

As a Venturer, you could find yourself camping above the snow line, exploring underwater reefs, riding the wind in a high-performance land yacht, earning your pilot’s licence, investigating a career in astro-physics, editing your own film, making a sculpture or climbing a sheer rock face.

Venturing emphasizes outdoor and environmental activities, citizenship and community service, leadership and personal development, and career exploration. Individual interests and skills are recognized through an awards system.

The Venturer program is built around a lively variety of activities based on personal and group interests.

Venturers meet in a group called a Unit and develop and manage their own program.

Venturers are for male and females aged between 14½ and 18 years of age. For a unit near you, check out our list of South Australian Units.
